Ben Ward wrote a large dissection of the situation surrounding the web, open and closed platforms, and what it means to be weblike. His criticism of Joe Hewitt's tweets that were given attention recently echo my own. There's also a lot of overlap in his arguments and my controversial Screw the Web article, despite us arguing two different things.
